Install Liftgate Trim Insert - AZ72.20-P-4000-01LWG

1. Position securing aid (2) positively on liftgate and fasten with adhesive strips.

2. Slightly remove protective foil (3) on adhesive strips on right side of trim piece (1) bend at an angle of 45° in direction of outer edge of trim piece (1).

3. Position trim piece (1) in securing aid (2) and fasten on opposite side with adhesive strips.

4. Remove lower protective foil (3) in increments up to center of liftgate starting on side with securing aid and gradually press on trim piece (1).

   The joint (A) between the trim piece (1) and the outer edge of the liftgate must run over the entire length of the trim piece (1).

5. Remove previously attached adhesive strips.
6. Remove lower protective foil (3) in increments starting at center of liftgate and gradually press on trim piece (1).

   The joint (A) between the trim piece (1) and the outer edge of the liftgate must run over the entire length of the trim piece (1).

7. Remove upper protective foil (3) in increments starting on side with securing aid and gradually press on trim piece (1).

8. Press on trim piece (1) in area of adhesive strips.

   When pressing on, ensure that the pressure is applied directly on the adhesive tape.

   Otherwise there may be adhesion problems.

   The maximum adhesive strength is only reached after approx. 72 h at 20°C. Prevent any mechanical stress.

   Avoid any contact with moisture (e.g. rain, fog, carwash) within the first 24 hours.

9. Remove securing aid.
