Remove/install oil separator - AR01.20-P-9750MTU

	Remove/install
1	Open engine hood
2	Detach ground line from battery		AR54.10-P-0003NKB
3	Detach upper engine cover
4	Detach purge line (4) from charge air intake manifold (1) and throttle valve actuator connecting flange and set aside	Check sealing ring and replace if necessary.
5	Disconnect electrical line at pressure sensor downstream of air filter (B28/5)
6	Disconnect electrical line at wide open throttle vent line heater element (R39/2)
7	Detach, unclip bleed line (7) from charge air intake manifold (1) and place to one side
8	Disconnect electrical line at wastegate from turbocharger
9	Unfasten charge air intake manifold (1) between turbocharger and air filter housing on both sides
10	Detach compensating ring on turbocharger	Exchange of the compensating ring should take place in the cleaned fitting of the charge air intake manifold (1) and not be pushed onto the fitting of the turbocharger. The inside diameter of the compensating ring as well as the fitting of the turbocharger must be wet well with lubricant before assembly. Also the fitting for the air filter must be lightly wet with lubricant. The compensating ring must  be replaced after every disassembly.

11	Remove lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105NKB
12	Disconnect electrical line actuation at A/C compressor
13	Disconnect electrical connection on alternator
14	Unclip electrical line for oxygen sensor from holders and disconnect
15	Unclip alternator wiring harness and A/C compressor and set aside
16	Remove right front axle shaft		AR33.30-P-0620NKB
17	Remove heat shield over steering		AR46.20-P-0602NKB
18	Remove heat shield over front axle carrier		AR46.20-P-0602NKB
19	Remove heat shield over front axle shaft on the right
20	Disconnect electrical connection at front axle level sensor	Vehicles with xenon headlamps.
21	Remove lower engine stabilizer mount		AR22.10-P-1130NKB
22	Remove support for lower engine hinged support	Bolt, support to crankcase	*BA22.10-P-1009-01V
23	Disconnect electrical line at partial load crankcase ventilation system valve (Y58/2)
24	Unclip partial load crankcase ventilation system valve holder (Y58/2) from charge air intake manifold (1)
25	Detach partial load vent line (5) at charge air intake manifold (1)	Check clamp and replace if necessary.
26	Unclip vent lines (3, 5, 7) from holders	Ensure correct seating of the vent lines (3, 5, 7) in the holders and on the charge air intake manifold (1).
27	Remove screw/bolts (6s) and oil separator (6) together with charge air intake manifold (1); remove the vent lines (3, 5, 7) upwards	Replace seals on oil separator (6). The charge air intake manifold (1), the vent line (3, 5, 7) create a unit together with the oil separator (6) and must also not be disconnected. If one of the components has suffered damage, the complete unit should be exchanged.

28	Install in the reverse order
29	Read out fault memory using the diagnostic system and clear if necessary

	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
30	Carry out engine test run and check engine for leaktightness while it is running
