REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Perform initial startup of overhead control panel control unit (N70) using diagnostic system When installing new overhead control panel control unit (N70).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04A
IMPORTANT With CODE 882 (Interior monitoring (only with ATA [EDW])), initial startup of the ATA [EDW] control unit must also be performed.  
2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from electronic ignition lock control unit    
3 Release and lower overhead control panel control unit (N70) IMPORTANT Insert a plastic card (2) or a similar object centrally between headliner (1) and overhead control panel control unit (N70) (arrow A), release left and right lock (3) and lower overhead control panel control unit (N70).  
4 Remove overhead control panel control unit (N70) out of headliner (1) until electrical connector (4) can be disconnected IMPORTANT Pull overhead control panel control unit (N70) toward rear (arrow B), remove from roof frame lining (5) and let hang with connected electrical connectors (4).  
5 Disconnect all electrical connectors (4) from overhead control panel control unit (N70) IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors (4) differs depending on the vehicle equipment.  
6 Remove overhead control panel control unit (N70)    
7 Install in the reverse order
