	Remove/install
	Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury  to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Only pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.	AS47.00-Z-0001-01A
		The ground line on the battery must always  be detached before beginning work on the fuel system otherwise pressure will be built up in the fuel system through opening a vehicle door or the trunk lid
1	Remove rail		AR07.03-P-1010GW
2	Mark fuel injectors (Y76) relative to the respective cylinder	When reusing the fuel injectors (Y76) they must be inserted into the cylinder in which in which its was previously installed. If fuel injectors (Y76) are replaced, the transport protective caps on the fuel injectors (Y76) should not be removed until one hour before assembly at the earliest. Leaks can occur otherwise.
3	Remove fuel injectors (Y76) from the cylinder head	In case of jammed fuel injectors (Y76): ↓
		Remove tightly stuck in fuel injectors (Y76) After installation of new fuel injectors (Y76) a control unit adaptation must be undertaken using STAR DIAGNOSIS in order to store injector quantity compensation (IMA) coding in the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10): ↓	AR07.16-P-1000-03GW
		Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS. The fuel injectors (Y76) must be installed together with the rail: ↓	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
		Install rail	AR07.03-P-1010GW

4	Replace sealing rings (2) and seals (4) on the fuel injectors (Y76)
5	Remove sealing ring (3) for fuel injectors (Y76)	The fuel injectors (Y76) must be installed immediately after calibration of the sealing ring (3). The sealing rings (3) will swell otherwise under the influence of the air humidity and will then be damaged during assembly.	AR07.03-P-0004-01MM

6	Install in the reverse order
	Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
7	Carry out an engine test run while checking fuel system for leaks
8	Read out and erase the fault memory using Star Diagnosis		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
