	Remove/install

1	Remove brake pads on fixed caliper	MODEL 463 (except 463.270/271) up to model year 2013 Disk brakes on front axle MODEL 460, 461 Disk brakes on front axle	AR42.10-P-0161GG
2	Remove fixed brake caliper from steering knuckle	Remove/install fixed brake caliper	AR42.10-P-0105GG
		Do not detach brake hose from fixed brake caliper, and do not apply any tension or kink. To relieve the load on the brake hose, fasten floating brake caliper to vehicle free of tension. Otherwise the brake hose will be damaged.
3	Remove locking bolt (64) and remove brake disk (61)	Always replace brake disks (61) as a pair. Lightly grease seat of brake disk (61) and replace the safety bolt (64).

		Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DB supply specification 6879.20	BR00.45-Z-1005-06A
4	Install in the reverse order
	Check
	Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work.	Before starting engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.	AS42.50-Z-0002-01A
5.1	Press brake pedal several times and check brake system for leaktightness	Except model 463.236/248 with code 979 (Special protection version)	AR42.10-P-0100-01A
		Firm resistance should be noticeable at the brake pedal.
5.2	Inspect braking system for proper operation and leaks	Model 463.236/248 with code 979 (Special protection version)

6	Check fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir, correct if necessary
