Check lamps in instrument cluster and interior illumination - AP54.30-P-5453D

MODEL 463 with CODE XZ2 (Model year 2013) 

MODEL 463 with CODE XZ3 (Model year 2014) 

MODEL 463 with CODE XZ4 (Model year 2015)

  Preparatory activity     
1 Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "2" (circuit 15)    
INSPECT Check     
3 Check coolant temperature gauge (7) and coolant temperature warning lamp (6) IMPORTANT The display of the coolant temperature gauge (7) must indicate the current coolant temperature and the coolant temperature warning lamp (6) must light up.
If there are problems:
↓
Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
 
4 Check ESP®/ASR OFF warning lamp (11) IMPORTANT The ESP®/ASR OFF warning lamp (11) must light up.
If there are problems:
↓
Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
 
5 Check fuel level indicator (9) and fuel reserve warning lamp (8) IMPORTANT The fuel level indicator (9) must show the corresponding fuel level in the fuel tank, and the fuel reserve warning lamp (8) must light up.
If there are problems:
↓
Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
 
6 Check multifunction display (1) and its display elements (2, 3, 4) for visible pixel errors, vertical stripes, missing segments or black dots. If there are problems:

Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
 
7 Manually switch on the exterior lights    
8 Check instrument illumination IMPORTANT All pointer instruments (5, 7, 9, 10) must be lit.
If there are problems:
↓
Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
 
9 Actuate instrument illumination brightness control IMPORTANT The instrument illumination must be brighter or darker to match.
If there are problems:
↓
Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
 
10 Manually switch off exterior lights    
11 Switch on lamps in passenger compartment and check for proper operation IMPORTANT Check inside rear-view mirror, reading, mirror and glove compartment lamps.
If there are problems:
↓
Rectify problem subject to separate repair order.
 
12 Switch off lamps in passenger compartment    
  Finishing activity     
13 Switch electronic ignition lock control unit to position "0"
