		The following faults require an exchange of the hard disk (2): System starts only as far as the star symbol and then shuts itself off again Permanent fault messages such as: Navigation unavailable Drive unavailable Music Register nonfunctional Fault code 94D9: Hard disk (2) has malfunction
1	Carry out commissioning of hard disk (2) at COMAND controller unit (A40/3) with STAR DIAGNOSIS	When replacing hard disk (2)	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2	Remove COMAND controller unit (A40/3)		AR82.85-P-1100GW
3	Place COMAND controller unit (A40/3) on an electrostatic discharge (ESD) workplace	Ensure that the COMAND controller unit (A40/3) is placed on an electrostatic discharge (ESD) workplace. Otherwise damage can be caused to the electronics of the COMAND controller unit (A40/3) or hard disk (2). ESD protection
4	Remove bolt (1)
5	Remove hard disk (2) upward (arrow)	Avoid touching the conductor tracks on the circuit board. Otherwise damage can be caused to the electronics of the COMAND controller unit (A40/3) or hard disk (2).
6	Install in the reverse order
7	Perform function test
