| 1 | Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read in variant coding of the front passenger seat control unit (N32/2) or driver's seat control unit (N32/1) | When replacing the front passenger seat control unit (N32/2) or driver's seat control unit (N32/1) |

| 2 | Move front seat upward and toward rear | ||
| 3 | Remove front stowage compartment from driver and front passenger seat | ||
| 4 | Disconnect electric lines from front passenger seat control unit (N32/2) or driver's seat control unit (N32/1) | ||
| 5 | Push retaining clips (3) outwards (arrow) | ||
| 6 | Unclip front passenger seat control unit (N32/2) or driver's seat control unit (N32/1) from holder (2) | Installation: The lugs (4) must be inserted into the notches of the holder (2). | |
| 7 | Remove front passenger seat control unit (N32/2) or driver's seat control unit (N32/1) | ||
| 8 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 9 | Read out and clear the fault memory using Star Diagnosis | ||
