The air conditioning system or the refrigerant compressor can be switched off if the "A/C" button (except code H12 (Stationary heater)) is installed. If this button is not installed, head unit menu (A26/17) is then required for switching off.
The "SYNC" function can only be selected via the head unit.

The climate control operating unit receives requests for function feedback via the climate control LIN (LIN B8-3) for the following functions:
- Climate control
- Recirculated air mode
- Heated windshield (with code F49 (Windshield, heated))
- Windshield defrost function
- Rear window heater (R1)
- Stationary heater (with code H12 (Stationary heater))
- Residual heat utilization
Transmission of signals and requests
The climate control operating unit sends function requests via the climate control LIN that can be selected via the following controls:
- Left temperature selection button
- Air recirculation mode button
- Climate control menu and residual heat ON/OFF button (with code H12 (Stationary heater))
- Rear window heater button
- Stationary heater button (with code H12 (Stationary heater))
Right temperature selection button
