Remove/Install Expansion Reservoir - AR20.30-P-4950MNA

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Unscrew cap (1) on expansion reservoir (2)    
2 Suction coolant out of expansion reservoir (2) SPECIAL TOOL Hand pump Fig 2
3 Detach vent line (3) at expansion reservoir (2)   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ 
4 Unlock retaining tabs (4) and pull out expansion reservoir (2) upwards INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure correct seating of expansion reservoir (2) in the bushing.  
5 Detach coolant hose (5) on expansion reservoir (2). SPECIAL TOOL Hose clamp pliers Fig 3
6 Disconnect electrical connection (6) from coolant level switch    
7 Remove expansion reservoir (2) upwards    
8 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Check     
9 Check coolant level and correct if necessary FLUID SPECIFICATION Engine 279 in model 463Cooling system *BF20.00-P-1001-02GA

10 Check engine cooling system for leaktightness Engine 176 in model 463

WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
11 Perform an engine test run and check engine cooling system for proper operation
