1 GPS reception	Vehicle in the open air Ignition: ON  Radio and navigation operating unit (A2/56): ON  Press button "I" (Info) If necessary wait a few minutes	The current position will be displayed in longitude and latitude, e.g.: LONGITUDE 9:01.37E LATITUDE 48:42.17N For a two dimensional localization at least 3 satellites must be received. 2 Navigation	Ignition:ON  Radio and navigation operating unit: ON  If necessary: put the navigation CD-ROM in the radio and navigation operating unit (A2/56)  . Press the "NAV" button. With the help of the "ADDRESS INPUT" menu enter a nearby destination and activate the route selecting from THE QUICKEST ROUTE or THE SHORTEST ROUTE or OWN ADJUSTMENT. Make this test journey	Calculation of a route can take up to 30 seconds. Driving recommendations for the route will be given via the radio speaker (audio instructions  ) and shown on the display of the A2/56 as well as on the instrument cluster with route symbols (pictograms  ). Take particular note of the moments when the audio instructions are given (the announcements should not be made either too late or too early). For this look at the bar-graph display. If the vehicle is located on a "non-digitized" street (Company premises, multi-story parking lot, track) "OFF ROAD" appears on the display.
