Location
The ambient lighting control unit is located on the right-hand A-pillar behind the trim.
Tasks
The ambient lighting control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
Reading in of signals
The signals are read in by the ambient lighting control unit via the interior CAN.
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The components are actuated via the following lines:
- Left front door ambient lighting LIN (LIN B30)
- Right front door ambient lighting LIN (LIN B31)
- Left rear door ambiance illumination LIN (LIN B32)
- Right rear door ambiance illumination LIN (LIN B33)
- Cockpit ambient lighting LIN (LIN B34)
- Vehicle interior ambient lighting LIN (LIN B35)
- Footwell rear passenger compartment ambient lighting LIN (LIN B43)
Left front door ambiance illumination LIN
The signals are transmitted by the ambient lighting control unit via the left front door ambient lighting LIN.
Right front door ambiance illumination LIN
The signals are transmitted by the ambient lighting control unit via the right front door ambient lighting LIN.
Left rear door ambiance illumination LIN
The signals are transmitted by the ambient lighting control unit via the left rear door ambient lighting LIN.
Right rear door ambiance illumination LIN
The signals are transmitted by the ambient lighting control unit via the right rear door ambient lighting LIN.
Cockpit ambiance illumination LIN
The signals are transmitted by the ambient lighting control unit via the cockpit ambient lighting LIN.
Vehicle interior ambiance illumination LIN
The signals are transmitted by the ambient lighting control unit via the vehicle interior ambient lighting LIN.
Rear passenger compartment footwell ambient lighting LIN
The signals are sent by the ambient lighting control unit over the rear passenger compartment footwell ambient lighting LIN.
