	Risk of poisoning from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury from skin and eye contact with brake fluid	Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.	AS42.50-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of accident when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work.	Before starting the engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.	AS42.50-Z-0002-01A

3	Suction off brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir
	Clean
4	Clean area around electrical connector (1) and brake lines (2)	Before opening the brake system the area around the separation point should be cleaned thoroughly. Only use clean, lint free rags and cleaner free of mineral oil. Do not use any compressed-air for cleaning when the brake system is open. Even the smallest particles of dirt, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the brake system.

5	Mark brake lines (2) relative to connections on hydraulic unit (A7/3)
6	Detach brake lines (2) from hydraulic unit (A7/3)	Seal connections immediately with stop plugs in order to avoid larger quantities of brake fluid from escaping. Collect escaping brake fluid with a suitable container. Observe markings.

7	Release and disconnect electrical connection (1)

8	Remove hydraulic unit (A7/3) from holder	Check all rubber parts for damage and correct seating; replace if necessary.
	Clean
9	Remove any escaped brake fluid	Rinse soiled parts immediately with water. Otherwise the paint will be damaged.
10	Detach carrier from hydraulic unit (A7/3)	When replacing the hydraulic unit (A7/3).
11	Install in the reverse order
12	Bleed brake system	Model 463 (except 463.270/271) as of model year 2013 up to model year 2019	AR42.10-P-0010GW
	Check
13	Check brake system in area of hydraulic unit (A7/3) for leak tightness
14	Read out and erase the fault memory using Star Diagnosis

15	Perform calibration on Electronic Stability Program control unit using STAR DIAGNOSIS
