Yaw Rate Sensor For Lateral And Longitudinal Acceleration, Component Description - GF42.45-P-4810GW
MODEL 463 as of model year 2013/YoM 12 model refinement package
Illustrated: interior compartment
B24/15 Yaw rate, lateral and longitudinal acceleration sensor
Location
The yaw rate sensor for lateral and longitudinal acceleration is located under the center console between the driver and front passenger seat.
Task
The yaw rate, lateral and longitudinal acceleration sensor measures the rotational speed about the vertical axis.
The integrated lateral acceleration sensor (AY sensor) measures the lateral acceleration.
The integrated longitudinal acceleration sensor (Ax sensor) detects longitudinal inclination.
The signals are read in by the Electronic Stability Program control unit (N30/4) via the vehicle dynamics CAN (CAN H).
