	Remove/install
	Open liftgate	See owner's manual.
	Open stowage compartment flap on liftgate	See owner's manual.
	Remove plastic shell (1)	For this purpose, pry out and remove plastic rivets (2). Unclip expansion anchor (3).
	Remove retainer (4) at release linkage actuator motor (5) from rear-end door central locking motor (M14/7)	Only in case of liftgate central locking system. Press actuator motor actuation linkage (5) out of the lever (6).
	Remove return spring (7) from the left locking lug actuation linkage (8)	Only in case of liftgate central locking system.
	Remove left liftgate locking lug (9)	Unscrew screws (12) and remove threaded plate (11). Pull left liftgate locking lug (9) in the direction of the arrow out of the liftgate. Release the release linkage retainer (10) and remove left liftgate lock element (9).
	Remove retainer from right locking lug actuation linkage (13)	Press actuation linkage out of the lever (14).
	Unscrew door lock nuts (15)
	Remove door lock with left locking lug actuation linkage (8) and remove seal downward	Check whether the seal touches the door lock correctly. If the seal is not installed correctly, the function of the central locking system on the door lock is not guaranteed.
	Install in the reverse order	Compliance with the following operation steps facilitates the installation of the retainers of the release linkage at the door lock. First, mount actuator motor actuation linkage (5), left locking lug actuation linkage (8), and right locking lug actuation linkage (13) on the door lock, the install door lock. Remove rear-end door central locking motor (M14/7). Attach right lock element release linkage (13) to rear-end door central locking motor (M14/7).
