MODEL 463 as of production date 9/2/96 up to production date 11/30/00 

Backup assist

1. Remove trailer hitch socket at bracket.
2. Remove housing from socket.
3. Install new housing with backup assist cutoff microswitch (X58s2)

   Do not change trailer hitch socket (13-pin) (X58).

4. Connect shop-made cable set to backup assist cutoff microswitch (X58s2).
5. Route shop-made cable set through the gasket of the socket along the sensor cable set and hold down.

6. Route cable (brown) from cable set forwards and connect cable shoe to ground frame (W30).

7. Assemble and connect cable (grey/yellow) from cable set to existing reverse lamp (E7) cable with new plug

8. Guide cable set along the sensor cable into rear pillar.
