Stationary Heater Control Unit, Component Description - GF83.70-P-4066FG
Model 213
up to model year 2021
with code 228 (Additional warm water heating)
Location
The stationary heater control unit is integrated in the stationary heater unit, which is located in the rear area of the right wheel arch.
Task
The stationary heater control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuation of components
- Transmitting signals
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Climate control LIN 2 (LIN B8-2)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via direct lines:
- Stationary heater coolant inlet temperature sensor (A6b2)
- Stationary heater coolant outlet temperature sensor (A6b3)
- Flame monitor (A6r3)
If the temperature at the coolant outlet exceeds a value of T = 130°C, the stationary heater is switched off due to overheating. If the overheating shutoff repeats 10 times, the stationary heater is switched off with a subsequent overheating locking.
Climate control LIN 2
The stationary heater control unit also reads in the following information over the climate control LIN 2:
- Heat/ventilate request
- Stationary heater switchover valve (Y16) request
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The following components are actuated via direct lines:
- Stationary heater combustion air blower (A6m2)
- Glow plug (A6r2)
- Stationary heater switchover valve
- Stationary heater fuel pump (Y23)
Transmitting signals
The stationary heater control unit sends the following information or requests, among other things, via climate control LIN 2:
- Stationary heater status
- Diagnostic data
Variants
Engine variants:
- Gasoline engine
- Diesel engine
