Location
The touchscreen is on the armrest of the rear bench seat.
Tasks
The touchscreen is the central control for the rear occupants for functions such as climate control and rear seat, ambient light, sliding roof settings as well as operation of media playback.
The displayable functions can be operated using the touchscreen. To this end, the touchscreen fulfills the following tasks:
- Operation and display
- Receiving signals
- Sending signals
Operation and display
The user input (operating gestures and handwriting recognition) is detected by the touch-sensitive display and displayed visually on the same display after internal processing.
Receiving signals
The touchscreen receives the following signals:
- Circuit 30T and circuit 31 via a direct line
- CAN messages via telematics CAN (CAN A)
Sending signals
The touchscreen sends the control signals via the telematics CAN to the head unit (A26/17).
Body
The touchscreen has a 6.5" touch-sensitive liquid crystal display (LCD).
