Model all (cars)
Overview
This document contains information on:
- Switching on / off the workshop mode and status display
- Function overview
General
In order to ensure trouble-free work on the vehicle during visits to the workshop, the service staff must be able to prevent vehicle functions from being triggered accidentally, remotely or automatically.
In the complete implementation, the necessary measures are bundled in the workshop mode so that switching on the workshop mode on the vehicle side is sufficient for trouble-free work on the vehicle. At the same time, status reports enable the service staff to see at any time whether the workshop mode is switched on.
The introduction of workshop mode begins with the restriction of remote functions.
The workshop mode is not available on all vehicles.Switching on / off the workshop mode and status display
The workshop mode is switched on and off via a menu on the instrument cluster. After switching on the workshop mode, a message that can be acknowledged is shown on the driver's display. After changing the ignition, the message is displayed again as long as the workshop mode has not been switched off.
When the workshop mode is switched on, the Mercedes me symbol disappears from the central display.
