Torque distribution in transfer case
The dual planet gear set acts as planetary gear differential between front and rear axle. The engine torque is distributed via the dual planet gear set. The gear ratio is designed so that 55 % of the engine torque is transmitted to the rear axle and 45 % is transmitted to the front axle.
