Operating instructions 

Via the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110) and right multifunction steering wheel button group (S111) various menu levels can be shown in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1):

• The system selection button (S110s3) can be used to scroll through the vehicle menus.
• It is possible to scroll within a menu in the submenus or in lists using the scroll forward and back button (S110s1).
• The "Back" and voice control system off button (S110s4) can be used in each menu or submenu to jump into the next higher menu level.
• The OK button (S110s6) is used to confirm the respective selection or a pending message.

All the buttons of the multifunction steering wheel button group are always installed. However, activation of the corresponding functions depends on the equipment installed in the vehicle.

Overview of available menus (equipment-dependent):

• "Trip" menu 
• "Navi" menu 
• "Audio" menu

• "Settings" menu 

"Trip" menu 

The following functions can be selected in the "Trip" menu:

• Show standard display or reset trip odometer
• Show or reset trip computer "After start"
• Show or reset trip computer "After reset"
• Show range and current consumption indicator
• Display digital speedometer
• Display digital speedometer with gearshift recommendation (with transmission 711, 716)
• "ECO Score" (driving style analysis) display (as of 1.6.12 except engine 276, 278, 642 with code (M014) Uprated engine, except engine 651 without code (B03) ECO start/stop function)

"Navi" menu 

Navigation notes are displayed in the "Navi" menu when the function is switched on. When the function is switched off the direction of travel is shown with cardinal points (e.g. "NW direction of travel").

"Audio" menu 

The following functions can be selected in the "Audio" menu:

• Select radio station
• Operate CD player/CD changer/DVD changer/DVD audio/MP3
• Operate DVD video
• Operate TV

"Tel" menu 

The name of the selected mobile telephone network is shown in the telephone menu when the function is switched on. It is still possible then to scroll through the stored telephone book and select an entry. When the function is switched off the text "Telephone Off" is displayed.

"Assist." menu 

The following functions can be selected in the "Assist." menu, depending on the equipment installed:

• Assist graphic (Assist System status indication) (as of 1.6.12)
• Switch "ESP" active or passive (model 207.3 as of 1.6.10, model 207.4)
• Switch "Speed Limit" on or off (with code (513) Speed Limit Assist)
• Show "distance chart" (with code (233) DISTRONIC PLUS)
• Switch on/off "PreSafe brakes"
• Switch "Attention Asst." on/off
• Switch "Blind Spot Assist" on or off (with code (234) Blind Spot Assist or with code (237) Active Blind Spot Assist)
• Switch "Lane Keeping Assist" on or off (with code (476) Lane Keeping Assist or code (238) Active Lane Keeping Assist)

"Service" menu 

The following functions can be selected in the "Service" menu:

• Call up display messages
• Tire pressure loss warner (without code (475) Tire pressure monitor (Premium)) or tire pressure monitor (with code (475) tire pressure monitor (Premium))
• Service interval indicator "ASSYST PLUS"

"Settings" menu 

Changes to the following settings can be made in the "Settings" menu:

• "Instrument cluster"
• Lights
• "Vehicle"
• "Comfort"
• "Manufacturer default setting"
• "Time/date" (without code (511) Audio 50 APS incl. DVD changer and without code (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio and without code (512) COMAND APS incl. DVD changer and without code (527) COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation))

Since 1.12.09, the "Light" submenu in the "Settings" menu has included the menu item "Tourist function" on vehicles with code (621) Intelligent Light System (left-hand traffic) or code (622) Intelligent Light System (right-hand traffic). Here low beams can be adapted for left and right hand traffic.

On model 207.3 as of 1.6.10 and on model 207.4, the menu item "Acoustic locking feedback" has been added to the "Vehicle" submenu in the "Settings" menu. The "acoustic locking feedback" can be switched on or off here.

As of 1.6.11, the menu item "Belt adjustment" has been added to the "Comfort" submenu in the "Settings" menu.
