Remove/install additional fan for COMAND - AR82.85-P-0005EW

MODEL 207 up to 5/31/13 up to model year 2014 with CODE 512 (COMAND APS with DVD changer) 

MODEL 207 up to 5/31/13 up to model year 2014 with CODE 527 (COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation))

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove steering column tube module MODEL 207 AR54.25-P-2802CW
    MODEL 212 AR54.25-P-2802EW
2 Remove left and right trim piece at instrument panel (3) MODEL 212 AR68.10-P-1180EW
3 First release cover (1) at top at pins (12), then release in lower area at catch hooks (13) toward rear and remove INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that tabs (14) are seated correctly.  
    CAUTION Long wedge Figure
4 Unclip steering column tube cover (2) at both ends from instrument panel (3) (arrows) and remove    
5 Remove cover (4) below dashboard on left    
6 Unscrew bolts (5) and lower steering column tube (6)    
7 Unscrew bolt (7)    
8 Slightly twist air intake pipe (8) and remove INSTALLATION NOTES
Ensure that air intake pipe (8) engages completely at COMAND fan motor (M4/13). Otherwise air intake pipe (8) may detach and cause noises.
 
9 Pull air intake duct (9) out of connection (arrow)    
10 Remove air exhaust duct (9) from COMAND fan motor (M4/13) and remove from instrument panel (3)    
11 Disconnect radio fan electrical connector (X120)    
12 Unscrew screws/bolts (10) until COMAND fan motor (M413) is detached IMPORTANT Screws/bolts (10) remain in COMAND fan motor (M4/13).  
13 Remove COMAND fan motor (M413) from air conditioner housing (A32)    
14 Install in the reverse order
