| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Remove engine air intake duct downstream of air filter. | AR09.10-P-8130MSA | |
| 3 | Remove front noise insulation. | ||
| 4 | Remove bleed line at oil separator and seal openings with suitable stop plugs. | Fig 2 | |
| 5 | Remove rear noise insulation. | ||
| 6 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors of ignition coils (T1/1 to T1/6). | ||
| 7 | Remove screws/bolts (2). | *BA15.10-P-1001-04A | |
| 8 | Detach ignition coils (T1/1 to T1/6) with spark plug connectors (3) upwards and remove. | Apply spark plug connector grease in spark plug connectors before installation to reduce the withdrawal and insertion forces Otherwise damage will occur. |

| 9 | Check ignition coils (T1/1 to T1/6) for external damage. | If damage is present: ↓ Replace corresponding ignition coil (T1/1 to T1/6). |
