Drain/Pour In Coolant - AR20.00-P-1142MNE

Engine 177 in Model 213 

MODIFICATION NOTES

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray.
Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.
Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

  Notes on coolant level   AH20.00-P-1142-01CW 
REMOVING Remove     
1 Slowly open cap of engine cooling system coolant expansion reservoir and remove    
2 Remove bottom engine compartment paneling at front   AR61.20-P-1105LWE
  Drain off     
3 Slide suitable drain hose onto drain fitting (3)    
4 Open drain valve (4) on engine cooling system cooler (1) and drain off coolant into a suitable container NOTES
Only open the drain valve (4) until coolant flows out.
Otherwise damage will occur on drain valve (4) and on engine cooling system cooler (1).
 
5 Close drain valve (4)    
6 Remove the coolant hose (2) on engine oil cooler in the right wheel arch and drain off coolant into a suitable container   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ 
7 Reattach the coolant hose (2) to the engine oil cooler   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ 
  Pour in     
8 Pour in clean coolant and bleed the engine cooling system   AR20.00-P-1142-04A

INSPECT Check     
9 Check engine cooling system for leaktightness   AR20.00-P-1011OLC 
INSTALLING Install     
10 Install bottom front engine compartment lining   AR61.20-P-1105LWE
