  1. Push damping (39) to one side.
  2. Expose branch-off line for dashcam at rear.

  3. Expose black plug (8.1) of dashcam wiring harness (8).

    IMPORTANT To do this, remove the fabric tape (41) and pocket (40) from dashcam wiring harness (8).

  4. Route branch-off line for dashcam at rear of dashcam wiring harness (8) from driver's side fuse and relay module to A-pillar.

    IMPORTANT Route branch-off line for dashcam at rear behind the crossmember for the instrument panel. Route branch-off line for dashcam at rear above the window airbag (30).

  5. Route branch-off line for dashcam at rear of dashcam wiring harness (8) on roof lining to rear up to center of roof lining.

    IMPORTANT Route branch-off line for dashcam at rear behind mounts for front and rear grab handles (arrows E) and the covers of the mounting eyes for the connecting network (arrows F).

  6. Strap down excess lengths of dashcam wiring harness (8) in area of A-pillar.
  7. Fasten wiring harness for dashcam (8) on roof lining using adhesive felt tape.

  8. Remove cover for roof frame at rear (31).

  9. Open holder (32) on left side of vehicle and remove cable duct (33).
  10. Remove cable duct (33) from liftgate and roof frame at rear.

  11. Route dashcam wiring harness (8) through opening next to trunk lid/liftgate control drive unit (M51/3) up to opening for cable duct on roof frame at rear.

    IMPORTANT Use a pull-through device. Pull this through opening for cable duct on roof frame at rear up to opening next to trunk lid/liftgate control drive unit (M51/3).

  12. Route dashcam wiring harness (8) through cable duct (33) into liftgate.
  13. Route dashcam wiring harness (8) by dimension (a) through center line of liftgate (line b) and out to right (line b).

    IMPORTANTDimensions: 

    a = 150 mm

    Use a pull-through device. The cable duct (33) must be coated on the inside with silicone spray before routing.

  14. Fix wiring harness for dashcam (8) into place using cable ties (arrows G).
  15. Attach cable duct (33).
