| 2 | Unscrew bolts (1). | Ensure that the washers of bolts (1) are correctly seated. Otherwise the horn will not work. |

| 3 | Remove the fastening plate (2) and unlock and disconnect the electrical plug connection (3). | ||
| 4 | Unscrew the bolts (4) and unclip the cover (5) with button group 1 multifunction steering wheel (S163 / 1) and button group 2 multifunction steering wheel (S163 / 2). | Fig 2 | |
| 5 | Unlock and disconnect electrical plug connection on group 1 multifunction steering wheel buttons (S 163/1) and group 2 multifunction steering wheel buttons (S163 / 2). | ||
| 6 | Unscrew screws (6) and remove button group 1 multifunction steering wheel (S163 / 1) or button group 2 multifunction steering wheel (S163 / 2). | ||
| 7 | Installation in reverse order. | ||
| 8 | Carry out commissioning of the steering wheel electronics (N135). | When replacing button group 1 multifunction steering wheel (S163 / 1) and button group 2 multifunction steering wheel (S163 / 2). | |
