Shown on model 212 

  Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses.
Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1.1 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from electronic ignition lock control unit MODEL 212, 218 except CODE 889 (KEYLESS-GO)  
1.2 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit MODEL 212, 218 with CODE 889 (KEYLESS-GO)  
2 Remove cover (1) SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 2
3 Remove cover (2) below instrument panel on left    
4 Remove bracket (3) from bracket (4) and place to one side with electrical lines connected    
5 Detach electrical connections (6) from additional battery (G1/7)    
6 Remove screw (5)    
7 Remove bracket (4) with additional battery (G1/7) downwards    
8 Remove additional battery (G1/7) from bracket (4) When replacing additional battery (G1/7).  
9 Install in the reverse order
