	Remove/install
1	Switch off all electrical consumers	All electrical consumers must be switched off. Otherwise, they may be damaged when the ground line (4) is connected/disconnected.
2	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)

3.3	Remove side paneling in left side of luggage compartment	Model 212.035 with code B03 (ECO start/stop function)	AR68.30-P-4600EW

5.1	Detach spare wheel well paneling (2) far enough to gain access to the additional battery for the ECO start/stop function (G1/13)	Model 212.0 (except 212.035), 212.1 with code B03 (ECO start/stop function) Model 212 with code ME04 (Mild hybrid drive) Model 218.3 with code B03 (ECO start/stop function) except code 4U7 (Start/stop voltage dip protector) except code 669 (Spare tire on steel rim) except code 690 (Collapsible spare wheel)

6	Remove bolt (3) and detach ground line (4) from ECO start/stop function additional battery (G1/13)	Model 212 with code B03 (ECO start/stop function) Model 212 with code ME04 (Mild hybrid drive) Model 218 with code B03 (ECO start/stop function) except code 4U7 (Start/stop voltage dip protector) Screw/bolt, battery cable to battery terminal on additional battery	*BA54.10-P-1004-01F
7	Remove cover (5) from positive line (6)
8	Use a diode test lamp to check the on-board electrical system for voltage between the positive line (6) and a suitable ground point	If the diode test lamp lights up, the on-board electrical system is still active because of a defect in the electrical system. In this case ↓ Disconnect ground line from on-board electrical system battery. : Clear defect on electrical system.	AR54.10-P-0003EW

10	Unscrew nut (9) of bracket (10)
11	Swivel bracket (10) upwards
12	Detach vent hose (8) from additional battery for ECO start/stop function (G1/13)	: Check bleed hose (8) is correctly seated on additional battery for ECO start/stop function (G1/13). Otherwise, emitted battery vapor may damage surrounding components.
13	Remove additional battery for ECO start/stop function (G1/13) from the battery carrier
14	Install in the reverse order
