Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. |

| 1 | Drain coolant from low-temperature circuit | AR09.41-P-6834LW | |
| 2 | Remove left charge air pipe | AR09.41-P-1327MMV | |
| 3 | Remove right charge air pipe | AR09.41-P-1326MMV | |
| 4 | Loosen clamp (5) | ||
| 5 | Detach coolant hoses on coolant connections (2) | AR09.41-P-1311-01AL | |
| 6 | Detach vent line at thermostat housing coolant hose | Engine 276.8 in model 205 up to model year 2016 | |
| 7 | Detach vent line (4) on charge air cooler (3) | ||
| 8 | Release and disconnect electrical connection at charge air temperature sensor (B17/8) | ||
| 9 | Release and disconnect electrical connection at pressure sensor upstream of throttle valve (B28/6) | ||
| 10 | Unclip retaining clamp (1), pull charge air cooler (3) to the front and to the left side of vehicle and remove upwards | ||
| 11 | Check boot (9) for damage | If damage is present ↓ Replace boot (9). |

| 12 | Unfasten clamp (8) and detach boot (9) | When replacing the charge air cooler (3). | |
| 13 | Remove charge air temperature sensor (B178) | When replacing the charge air cooler (3). | |
| 14 | Remove pressure sensor upstream of throttle valve (B28/6) | When replacing the charge air cooler (3). | |
| Install | |||
| 15 | Install pressure sensor upstream of throttle valve (B28/6) | When replacing the charge air cooler (3). | |
| 16 | Install charge air temperature sensor (B17/8) | When replacing the charge air cooler (3). | |
| 17 | Position boot (9) and fasten on clamp (8) | When replacing the charge air cooler (3). | |
| 18 | Position charge air cooler (3) and clip into retaining clamp (1) | ||
| 19 | Put together electrical connection on pressure sensor upstream of throttle valve (B28/6) until it locks | ||
| 20 | Put together electrical connection on charge air temperature sensor (B17/8) until it locks | ||
| 21 | Mount vent line (4) on charge air cooler (3) | ||
| 22 | Attach vent line to thermostat housing coolant hose | Engine 276.8 in model 205 up to model year 2016 | |
| 23 | Mount coolant hoses on coolant connections (2) | AR09.41-P-1311-01AL | |
| 24 | Fasten clamp (5) | ||
| 25 | Install right charge air pipe | AR09.41-P-1326MMV | |

| 27 | Pour coolant into the low-temperature circuit | AR09.41-P-6834LW | |
