Stationary Battery Charging, Basic Function - GF54.10-P-1006A
Model all (CAR)
General
Stationary charging of the battery ensures the battery has a sufficient battery capacity before starting a journey.
Charging types
12 V on-board electrical system battery
The 12 V on-board electrical system battery can be charged with an external 12 V charger.
48 V on-board electrical system battery (vehicles with 48 V technology)
The 48 V on-board electrical system battery can be charged with an external 12 V charger. As soon as the 12 V on-board electrical system battery is fully charged, an energy transfer takes place to the 48 V on-board electrical system via the DC/DC converter. The 48 V on-board electrical system battery is charged.
High-voltage battery (hybrid vehicles, electric vehicles)
Depending on the vehicle equipment, the high-voltage battery can be charged using the on-board charger via a service line or a charging station.
