	Remove
1	Remove left-hand air filter housing		AR09.10-P-1150MMV
2	Remove soundproofing of left rail
3	Release and disconnect electrical connections (1)
4	Remove screw/bolts (2)
5	Pull ignition coils (3) with spark plug connectors upwards and out.	The ignition coils (3) and the spark plug connector create a unit and can therefore only be removed and replaced together.
6	Check ignition coils (3) and the spark plug connector for damage	If damage is present. ↓ Replace ignition coils (3) and the spark plug connector.
	Install
7	Discharge approx. Apply about 1 g of spark plug connector grease to the spark plug connector	To reduce the withdrawal and attachment forces the spark plug connector grease must be applied. Otherwise the spark plug connectors will be damaged upon renewed removal. Spark plug connector grease	*BR00.45-Z-1102-06A
8	Position the ignition coils (3) with spark plug connectors in the spark plug bores
9	Screw in screw/bolts (2)	Screw/bolt, ignition coil to cylinder head cover	*BA15.10-P-1001-04A
10	Place electrical connections (1) and lock
11	Install soundproofing of left rail
12	Install left-hand air filter housing		AR09.10-P-1150MMV
13	Read out fault memory using the diagnostic system and clear if necessary		AD00.00-P-2000-04B
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
14	Perform an engine test run and check engine for proper function
