Rear end cover bolt at crankcase/oil pan (belt side)

	Remove/install
1	Remove drive plate		AR03.30-P-8001MMV
2	Clean crankcase (2) and oil pan (3) in area around the end cover (4)	Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
3	Remove screw/bolts (4a, 4b)	Screw, rear end cover to crankcase/oil pan (belt side)	*BA01.40-P-1002-01K
		Screw/bolt, oil pan to crankcase/timing case cover/rear end cover	*BA01.45-P-1001-01E
4	Place at the side cutouts of the end cover (4) and unfasten end cover (4) with radial shaft sealing ring (5) from crankcase (2)	Do not drive in any tools between end cover (4) and crankcase (2) to loosen them. The sealing surfaces can be damaged otherwise. Heat oil pan top section (4) in area of the sealing surfaces if necessary using a heat gun.
5	Remove end cover (4) with radial shaft sealing ring (5)	The radial shaft sealing ring (5) is vulcanized into the end cover (4) and can only, therefore, be replaced together with the end cover (4).	AR03.20-P-3063-01MMA

	Clean
6	Clean sealing surfaces for end cover (4)	Do not use any sharp-edged tools or abrasive paper. The sealing surfaces can be damaged otherwise.
		Loctite 7200	*BR00.45-Z-1038-04A
		Loctite 7063 cleaning spray (150 ml)	*BR00.45-Z-1046-04A
7	Install in the reverse order
	Check
8	Check engine oil level and correct if necessary		AP18.00-P-1811MP
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
9	Carry out engine test run and check engine for leaktightness while it is running
