	Preparation
1	The activation code for the map update is available in the vehicle documentation (VeDoc).
2	Connect charger and switch on.	Model 118, 177, 247	AR54.10-P-1127MFA

		Model 205, 213, 238, 253, 293	AR54.10-P-1127LW
3	Switch on ignition.
4.1	Activate parking brake and engage gear N.	With transmission 700, 722, 724, 725 or model 293 Engaging drive range N serves to prevent the ignition from being automatically switched off.
4.2	Release parking brake and secure vehicle against rolling away.	With transmission 711, 716 Releasing the parking brake prevents the ignition from switching off automatically.
5	Switch on head unit.
	Update
6	Plug master USB flash drive into front USB port	.
7	Enter the activation code provided in VeDoc and start with the update.	Ignore any error messages that may be displayed. The update process can take a while to complete. The progress bar indicates how much has been completed.
8	Unplug master USB flash drive from front USB port.
9	Switch off head unit.
10.1	Engage drive range P.	With transmission 700, 722, 724, 725 or model 293

11	Switch off ignition.
