Connection scheme
Routing diagram (shown on model 205.0)
- Place wiring harness for illuminated door sill molding (2) into front passenger footwell.
The black, 18-pin connector (2.4) of the illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) is connected to the illuminated door sill molding control unit at a later stage.
- Route brown line (BN) to right front footwell ground point (CAN) (W15/8) and fix in place with cable ties.
- Connect brown line (BN) to right front footwell ground point (CAN) (W15/8)
A maximum of 5 connectors may be connected to a ground point. In the event of over-assignment another ground point should be selected.
- Route right illuminated door sill molding branch-off line (2.2) along existing lines through cable duct and fix in place with cable ties.
Route the right illuminated door sill molding branch-off line (2.2) so that the black, 2-pin plug (2.8) can be clipped into the provided cutout at a later stage.
- Route illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) into driver footwell.
Use a pull-through device.
- Route illuminated door sill molding wiring harness (2) to A-pillar and fix in place with cable ties.
- Route left illuminated door sill molding branch-off line (2.1) along existing lines through the cable duct and fix in place with cable ties.
Route left illuminated door sill molding branch-off line (2.1) so that the black, 2-pin plug can be clipped into the provided cutout later.
- Unpin red line (RD) from red fuse holder.
- Route red line (RD) to the left fuse and relay module (K40/6) and fix in place with cable ties.
- Route twisted brown line (BN) and brown/red line (BN/RD) through cable duct to left interior CAN (CAN B) potential distributor electrical connector (X30/32) and fix in place using cable ties.
- Attach black, 2-pin connector of twisted brown line (BN) and brown/red line (BN/RD) to any free slot of left interior CAN (CAN B) potential distributor electrical connector (X30/32).
If no slots are free.
Remove any black, 2-pin connector from left interior CAN (CAN B) potential distributor electrical connector (X30/32) and connect potential distributor extension (3) using adapter line (4). Connect detached black, 2-pin connector and black, 2-pin connector of twisted brown line (BN) and brown/red line (BN/RD) to potential distributor extension (3).

- Remove lock (20) from left fuse and relay module (K40/6).

Install electric jumper link (21), as shown, into slot S7 and contact cavity 9 of left fuse and relay module (K40/6).

- Install red line (RD) into slot 5 of left fuse and relay module (K40/6).

- Install lock (20) onto left fuse and relay module (K40/6).

Install red line (RD) into fuse holder (2.6).
- Model 205.0/2/3 up to 12/31/15
Mount red fuse holder (2.6) onto slot S7 of left fuse and relay module (K40/6).

Insert fuse with fuse rating of 5 A into fuse holder (2.6).
