Prepare vehicle with halogen headlamps for headlamp adjustment

Before checking or correcting the headlamp adjustment the vehicle must be in a ready-to-drive condition.
Vehicle in ready-to-drive condition means:
- Correct tire pressure.
- Vehicle at normal level.
- Steering is in straight-ahead position.
On vehicles without CODE 489 (AIRMATIC (air suspension with level adjustment and adaptive damping system ADS)):
- Vehicle unladen.
- Driver seat loaded with 75 kg.
On vehicles with CODE 489 (AIRMATIC (air suspension with level adjustment and adaptive damping system ADS)) in addition to the ready-to-drive condition, the calibrated vehicle level has to be moved to using the diagnostic system before correcting the headlamp adjustment.
The calibrated vehicle level is moved to using the diagnostic system in the chassis control unit.
During a service this shall be invoiced as an additional operation.
