IMPORTANT Always check the inside and outside of the brake disks for damage.

The following types of damage may occur:

Chippings on the friction surfaces (A)

Chippings on the friction surfaces (A) can occur because of thermal stresses. Per brake disk, a max. of 3 chippings up to a size of 400 mn2 and a depth of max. 2 mm is permissible in each case.

The smaller chippings shown are normal, they have no influence on brake power or durability and are therefore not a problem.

Chippings on edge of brake disk ring (B)

Chippings on the edge of the brake disk ring (B) can occur because of thermal stresses or collisions. A maximum of 3 chippings of the following dimensions are permissible for each brake disk:

Chippings on perforation holes (C)

Chippings on perforation holes (C) can occur because of thermal stresses. They are permissible up to a length, width and depth of 3 mm in each case.
