General
The armrest heating function can be used to heat the front armrests in the vehicle. This includes the armrests in the front doors and the armrest in the center console.
The control unit of the respective door controls the heating for the door armrests, while the armrest heating control unit controls the heating in the center console.

Manual switching on and off:
The armrests are heated only in combination with the seat heating. It is operated via the seat climate control switch group in the doors. The heating output can be adjusted to 3 different levels of intensity (100/65/35 % output). The armrest heating is monitored by temperature sensors in the corresponding heating element.
The armrest heating function can be configured via the multimedia system. The central controller unit (SAM) stores the selected settings.
Time-controlled switch-off
Time-controlled switch-off of the armrest heating takes place at the same time as the time-controlled switch-off of the seat heating.
