| 2 | Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from electronic ignition lock control unit | ||

| 4 | Disconnect electrical connector (2) at front passenger airbag squib 1 and front passenger airbag squib 2 | ||
| 5 | Unscrew bolt (3) | *BA91.60-P-1008-01F | |
| 6 | Remove screws/bolts (5) and detach cable duct (6) from crossmember under instrument panel in direction of engine compartment and wedge using long wedge | Fig 2 | |
| 7 | Remove screws/bolts (4) from rear at crossmember under instrument panel and remove blank holder (8) | *BA91.60-P-1008-01F | |
| 8 | Unscrew nuts (7) and remove front passenger airbag (1) | If the front passenger airbag (1) is replaced, then the defective front passenger airbag (1) must be disposed of. | |

| 9 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 10 | Connect diagnostic system; read out fault memory | After replacing the front passenger airbag (1). | |
