	Remove/install
	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1	Unclip instrument panel cover (1) at rear and lift slightly	Carefully slide clip remover (4) between instrument panel (2) and instrument panel cover (1). Otherwise the instrument panel (2) or instrument panel cover (1) can be scratched.

2	Unlock front parking system warning indicator (A44/1) and guide upward out of instrument panel (1)	MODEL 242, 246 with CODE 220 (PARKTRONIC) MODEL 242, 246 with CODE 235 (Active Parking Assist)
3	Disconnect electrical connector (3) from front parking system warning indicator (A441)	MODEL 242, 246 with CODE 220 (PARKTRONIC) MODEL 242, 246 with CODE 235 (Active Parking Assist)
4	Lift instrument panel cover (1) and disconnect electrical connector from sun sensor (B32/3)	MODEL 242, 246 with CODE 581 (Comfort automatic air conditioning)
5	Slightly pull instrument panel cover (1) toward rear and remove upward
6	Unclip sun sensor (B32/3) from instrument panel cover (1)	When replacing instrument panel cover (1).
7	Install in the reverse order
