Remove/install air intake pipe - AR09.10-P-8131MT

ENGINE 270 in MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246.2 without CODE 494 (US version)

	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key
2	Remove engine cover
3	Unclip coolant vent line (2) at air intake pipe (1)
4	Unclip vacuum line (3) at air intake pipe (1) and engine wiring harness, detach at boost pressure control flap vacuum unit and place to one side
5	Unclip vacuum line (4) at air intake pipe (1)
6	Disconnect electrical connection at pressure sensor downstream of air filter (B28/5)
7	Disconnect electrical connection on wide open throttle operation vent line heater element (R39/2)
8	Detach wide open throttle bleed line (5) at wide open throttle operation vent line heater element (R39/2)
9	Unclip engine wiring harness at air intake pipe (1)
10	Detach partial load bleed line (6) at air intake pipe (1)
11	Unfasten clamps (7) at air intake pipe (1)
12	Remove the air intake pipe (1)
13	Detach compensating ring between air intake pipe (1) and ATL on ATL	The compensating ring must  be replaced after every disassembly. The installation of the new compensating ring should take place in the cleaned fitting of the air intake pipe (1) and not on the fitting of the ATL. The inside diameter of the compensating ring as well as the fitting of the ATL must be wet well with lubricant before assembly.

14	Remove pressure sensor downstream of air filter (B28/5)	When replacing the air intake pipe (1) Replace sealing ring.
15	Install in the reverse order
