| 1 | Switch on ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m) | ||
| 2 | Release covers (2.1, 2.2) from base (3) of inside rearview mirror | ||
| 3 | Detach cover (2.1) from cover (2.2) and remove both covers (2.1, 2.2) | ||
| 4 | Unhook retaining clamp (7) at both sides of rain/light sensor (B38/2) or light sensor (B38/1) | ||
| 5 | Remove rain/light sensor (B38/2) or light sensor (B38/1) | Do not touch surfaces of rain/light sensor (B38/2) or light sensor (B38/1). Otherwise, soiling may cause the rain/light sensor (B38/2) or the light sensor (B38/1) to malfunction. |

| 6 | Disconnect electrical connector (6) | ||
| 7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 8 | Carry out initial startup of rain/light sensor (B38/2) or light sensor (B38/1) | ||
