Switch off filling and bleeding unit and vent pressure
Remove fire extinguisher from driver seat Model 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with code 682 (Fire extinguisher)
  High-pressure test
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
Allow the engine to run at moderate speed and release the accelerator pedal suddenly IMPORTANT In order to produce the highest possible vacuum in the BAS brake booster (A7/7).
Immediately press down brake pedal as far as possible and insert brake pedal jack (010) with adapter between brake pedal and driver seat NOTES Cover brake pedal and driver seat in contact area of SPECIAL TOOL brake pedal jack and SPECIAL TOOL adapter. Otherwise the brake pedal or the front seat may be damaged.

Read off brake pressure on high-pressure gauge of pressure tester (3) and note down
Read off brake pressure on high-pressure gauge of pressure tester (3) again after 5 min and note down IMPORTANT During the 5 min. duration of the test, the brake pressure may not drop more than 5 %.
  Low-pressure test
Switch off engine and remove brake pedal jack (010) with adapter
Push down brake pedal several times IMPORTANT In order to reduce the vacuum in the BAS brake booster (A7/7).
Press down brake pedal as far as possible and insert brake pedal jack (010) with adapter between brake pedal and driver seat NOTES Cover brake pedal and driver seat in contact area of SPECIAL TOOL brake pedal jack SPECIAL TOOL and adapter. Otherwise the brake pedal or the front seat may be damaged.

Slowly turn back brake pedal jack (010) until the low-pressure gauge on the pressure tester (3) displays a brake pressure of approx. 3 bar
Read off brake pressure on low-pressure gauge of pressure tester (3) again after 2 min and note down TORQUE SPECIFICATION The brake pressure must not drop during the 2 min. duration of the test.
Remove brake pedal jack (010) and adapter
Install fire extinguisher at driver seat Model 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with code 682 (Fire extinguisher)
