| 8 | Loosen bumper (1) from fenders (10) | ||
| 9 | Unscrew bolts (13) from bumper (1) | ||
| 10 | Carefully loosen catch hooks (14) in sequence from mounting rail (15) starting at one side with screwdriver | ||
| 11 | Remove bumper (1) toward front with aid of helper | ||

| 12 | Check front bumper pedestrian protection sensor for any kind of damage (cracks, holes, kins, etc.) | Model 172.4 with code U60 (Active Bonnet (Pedestrian protection)) |
