	Remove/install
	Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts		AH00.00-N-0001-01A
1	Rotate the steering wheel to the center position	Front wheels in straight-ahead position.
2	Move steering column tube (2) forward and downward
3	Remove steering column tube module (6)		AR54.25-P-2802RK
4	Connect electrical connector (7) to steering column tube module (6)		AR54.25-P-2802-02CW
5	Move steering column tube (2) backward and upward
6	Disconnect electrical connector (7) from steering column tube module (6)		AR54.25-P-2802-02CW
7	Remove left cover below dashboard		AR68.10-P-1500RK
8	Disconnect electrical connectors (4) from steering column in/out adjustment motor (M20/1) and from steering column up/down adjustment motor (M20/2)
9	Remove bolt (8) and detach lower steering shaft (5) from steering column tube (2)	Turn the steering column tube until the bolt (8) is accessible. The clamping connection of the lower steering shaft (5) must not be bent up.
		Replace bolt for clamp connection. Screw/bolt, lower steering shaft to upper steering shaft	*BA46.10-P-1003-01M
10	Slide lower steering shaft (5) downward
11	Remove bolts (1a, 1b, 3a, 3b)	Screw in the bolts (1a, 1b, 3a, 3b) finger-tight only. Tighten in the following sequence: left top bolt (1b), right bottom bolt (3a), right top bolt (1a), left bottom bolt (3b). Pay attention to different lengths of screw/bolts. 12	Tilt steering column tube (2) to right and remove upward at angle	The steering column in/out adjustment motor (M20/1) and the steering column up/down adjustment motor (M20/2) are extremely sensitive to lateral forces and impacts. Do not handle the steering column tube (2) by the steering column in/out adjustment motor (M20/1) and by the steering column up/down adjustment motor (M20/2). Otherwise the steering column adjustment motor in/out (M20/1) and steering column adjustment motor up/down (M20/2) may be damaged.
13	Install in the reverse order
