	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A

	Remove/install
1	Open engine hood	Absolute cleanliness must be maintained throughout the entire procedure. Even the smallest dirt particles in the suspension system's hydraulic components can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the ABC system. This work procedure must be maintained at all times. Otherwise there may be damage and the ABC system may then suffer a total failure.
2	Remove upper engine covers (12)
3	Detach bleed line for charge air cooler (5) from bracket (8) of Active Body Control (ABC) hydraulic pump (2)	Before starting work the area around the Active Body Control (ABC) hydraulic pump (2) must be thoroughly cleaned at the separation points. Even the smallest dirt particles in the hydraulic components can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the suspension system.

7	Separate electrical connector (7), unclip from bracket (8) and set aside
8	Detach Active Body Control (ABC) feed line (9) from cylinder head cover and front cover
9	Detach Active Body Control (ABC) feed line (9) from Active Body Control (ABC) hydraulic pump (2) and set aside	Plug openings. Note installation position of Active Body Control ABC feed line (9). Record plug	Figure
10	Detach Active Body Control (ABC) pressure line (4) from Active Body Control (ABC) hydraulic pump (2)	Detach Active Body Control (ABC) pressure line (4) at the earliest 10 minutes after switching off the engine, because only then will the ABC system be fully unpressurized. Seal openings with stop plugs. Replace sealing rings of Active Body Control (ABC) pressure line (4). Record plug	Figure

15	Install in the reverse order
16	Fill and bleed active body control (ABC)		AR32.50-P-0021SX
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
17	Carry out engine test run, while doing so check Active Body Control (ABC) for proper operation and leaktightness	When the work has been completed, cooling of the hydraulic fluid (after the engine is switched off) will cause the body to be lowered.
