Remove/install ABC valve block pressure line from front axle to right front suspension strut - AR32.50-P-3001RK

DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing hydraulic fluid. Depressurize hydraulic system completely before starting any work on it. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. AS00.00-Z-0013-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1.1 Relieve pressure in ABC system MODEL 231.### ## up to 021273 with CODE 487 (Active Body Control (ABC)) AR32.50-P-0001-01N
    NOTES Before opening the hydraulic system, thoroughly clean the area surrounding the separation point.
Otherwise minute particles of dirt in the hydraulic components can result in malfunctions and total failure of the hydraulic system.
04 Catch hydraulic fluid in a suitable container.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bleed screw on soldered fitting in hydraulic line

1.2 Release pressure in ABC system using Star Diagnosis MODEL 231.### ## as of 021274 with CODE 487 (Active Body Control (ABC)) AR32.50-P-0001-01LF
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04A
2 Open engine hood    
3 Remove front wheel   AP40.10-P-4050EW
REFER TO MAINTENANCE      
4 Remove rear sections of front fender liner   AR88.10-P-1300RK
5 Remove bolt, (2) and detach left pressure line (1) from front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1) NOTES Make sure that no dirt enters the open left pressure line (1).
This can otherwise lead to failure of the ABC system.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check sealing rings for damage and replace if necessary. Check the support rings for damage and replace the complete left pressure line (1) if necessary. Pay attention to the installation position of the left pressure line (1).
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt connecting line to front axle valve unit

6 Remove bolt (4) and remove bracket (5)    
7 Unscrew nut (7) and pull front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1) with connected lines out as far as possible NOTES Carefully pull out front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1).
The pressure lines can otherwise be damaged by any resulting kinks.
IMPORTANT Pull the front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1) forward until the left pressure line (1) is freely accessible.

8 Remove wiper linkage    
9 Remove clamps (8, 9, 14)    
10 Detach left pressure line (1) from center pressure line (1a) on quick-release coupling (10) using detaching tool INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Make sure that the quick-release coupling (10) engages completely.

11 Remove left pressure line (1)    
12 Remove strut (12) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Tighten the bolts only when the vehicle is in a ready-to-drive condition.  
13 Take off rubber seal (11)    
14 Unscrew bolt (19) and remove partition wall (20)    
15 Unhook line (16) from retaining clip (15) and place to one side    
16 Unscrew nut (17a) and remove coolant expansion reservoir (17) IMPORTANT Remove coolant expansion reservoir (17) as far as possible until the electrical connection (17b) and lines (16a) are accessible.  
17 Detach electrical connection (17b)    
18 Unhook lines (16a) from retaining clips (16b)    
19 Place coolant expansion reservoir (17) to one side    
20 Detach center pressure line (1a) from right pressure line (1b) on quick-release coupling (18) using detaching tool and remove INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Make sure that the quick- release coupling (18) engages completely.

21 Detach right pressure line (1b) from quick- release coupling (23) using detaching tool INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Make sure that the quick- release coupling (23) engages completely.

22 Unhook right pressure line (1b) from retaining clips (21)    
23 Remove clamp (22) and detach right pressure line (1b)    
24 Install in the reverse order    
25 Fill and bleed ABC system   AR32.50-P-0021SX
