Remove/install belt drive components - AR13.20-P-0001RKC

DANGER Risk of injury.  Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of the mechanism when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove engine cover    
2 Remove air intake duct on the right and left    
3 Loosen poly-V belt (1) and remove IMPORTANT To do this turn hexagon (2) of poly-V belt tensioning device (3) counterclockwise (arrow) until the tensioner pulley (5) can be locked with the drift. Use a drift with a diameter of 5 mm.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Fit on poly-V belt and tension (1) as per routing diagram and tension.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT To do this swivel poly-V belt tensioning device (3) at hexagon (2) counterclockwise (arrow), fit on poly-V belt (1) and slacken poly-V belt tensioning device (3).
 
INSPECT Check     
4 Check profile of belt pulley and poly-V belt tensioning device (3) for damage and soiling    
5 Check poly-V belt (1) for damage and wear; replace if necessary    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP13.22-P-1352EW 
  Remove poly-V belt tensioning device (3)     
6 Remove screw/bolts (4) and remove poly-V belt tensioning device (3) When removing poly-V belt tensioning device (3).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The poly-V belt tensioning device (3) can only be installed when locked.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT When replacing the poly-V belt tensioning device (3), clamp old poly-V belt tensioning device (3) into a vise, swivel at hexagon (2) counterclockwise (arrow), pull out drift and release tension at the poly-V belt tensioning device (3).
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, tensioning device to timing case cover

INSPECT Check     
7 Check tensioner pulley (5) for damage and dirt; replace if necessary TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, tensioning device to timing case cover *BA13.25-P-1001-01ZA 
  Removal of the guide pulleys (6, 7)     
8 Unclip covers (8) When removing the guide pulleys (7)  
9 Remove guide pulleys (6, 7) When removing the guide pulleys (6, 7)  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, guide pulley to right front cover/carrier *BA13.25-P-1002-01ZA 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, guide pulley to timing case cover *BA13.25-P-1003-01ZA 
INSPECT Check     
10 Check guide pulleys (6, 7) for wear and dirt; replace if necessary    
11 Install in the reverse order    
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
12 Perform engine test run and check for correct seating of poly-V belt (1)
