	Remove/install
1.1	Remove front upper engine cover	ENGINE 276.9 in MODEL 231
1.2	Upper engine cover	ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 231
2	Remove charge air cooler and pull with attached coolant lines to the front	ENGINE 276.8 in MODEL 231	AR09.41-P-6819RKA
3	Slacken poly-V belt and remove	Routing diagram for poly-V belt Installation:  Do not use belt wax or similar products. This leads to slipping of the poly-V belt. To do so, swivel clamping device (1) at hexagon (4) counterclockwise, remove poly-V belt and loosen clamping device (1). Installation:  Observe poly-V belt routing diagram.	AR13.22-P-3902-02MM
	Check
4	Check belt pulley profile, tensioning device (1) and guide pulleys (2, 3) for damage, wear and contamination and replace if required
5	Check poly-V belt for damage, wear, check for soiling and replace if necessary

6	Lock clamping device (1)	Swivel clamping device (1) at hexagon (4) counterclockwise and lock in place using drift (5).
7	Remove screw/bolts on clamping device (1)	Screw/bolt, poly-V belt tensioning device to timing case cover	*BA13.25-P-1001-01X
8	Remove clamping device (1) upwards
9	Slacken clamping device (1)	When replacing the clamping device (1). To do this clamp clamping device (1) in a vise, swivel at hexagon (4) in a clockwise direction, pull out drift (5) and slacken clamping device (1). Installation:  The clamping device (1) can only be installed when locked.
10	Remove screw/bolts for guide pulleys (2, 3)	ENGINE 276 in MODEL 231 without CODE 487 (Active Body Control (ABC))
		Screw/bolt, guide pulley to carrier	*BA13.25-P-1003-01X
		Screw/bolt, guide pulley to coolant pump	*BA13.25-P-1004-01X
11	Remove guide pulleys (2, 3)	ENGINE 276 in MODEL 231 without CODE 487 (Active Body Control (ABC))
12	Install in the reverse order
