| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Remove upper side paneling (1) in rear | AR68.30-P-4780RK | |
| 2 | Close Vario roof | ||
| 3 | Open trunk lid | ||
| 4 | Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key (A8/1) or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button (S2/3) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) | ||
| 5 | Unscrew bolt (3) and remove front hydraulic cylinder (2) | ||
| 6 | Release retaining clip (4) and remove from pin (5) | ||
| 7 | Pull pin (5) out of hole and remove rear hydraulic cylinder (2) | ||
| 8 | Cut open cable tie (6) | The hydraulic lines (7) are very sensitive and should not be kinked. Otherwise the hydraulic lines (7) can be damaged. |

| 9 | Move safety clips (8) with suitable tool (arrow) and remove hydraulic lines (7) from hydraulic cylinder (2) | The hydraulic lines (7) are very sensitive and should not be kinked. Otherwise the hydraulic lines (7) can be damaged. Place rag below hydraulic line connections (7). Immediately plug hydraulic lines (7). Collect hydraulic oil flowing out in suitable vessel. Otherwise the vehicle interior can be soiled by hydraulic oil running out. |
