	Remove/install
	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Remove upper engine cover
2	Remove right air filter housing
3	Remove insulation on right rail
4	Detach crankcase ventilation pipe (2) on cylinder head cover	It is just necessary to remove the two screw/bolts on the cylinder head cover since the connection to the charge air duct and charge air cooler must not be lost.
5	Lift vehicle on vehicle lift		AR00.60-P-1000TX
6	Remove rear and center section of lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105RK
7	Detach vacuum line (1) on intake manifold
8	Remove screw/bolts (3) on centrifuge cover (1) from below	Bolt, centrifuge cover to cylinder head/cylinder head cover	*BA01.20-P-1001-01L
9	Remove centrifuge cover (1) from below
10	Remove screw/bolt for centrifuge at the camshaft	Screw/bolt, centrifuge to camshaft sprocket	*BA01.20-P-1002-01L
11	Remove centrifuge from camshaft	The dowel pins determine the installation position of centrifuge at the camshaft.
	Check
12	Check seal and radial shaft sealing ring for wear and damage	Install centrifuge cover (1) if necessary.
13	Check centrifuge for wear and damage	Replace centrifuge if necessary.
14	Install in the reverse order
15	Check engine oil level; correct if necessary
		MODEL 231 with ENGINE 157	AP18.00-P-0101EWG
		MODEL 231 with ENGINE 278	AP18.00-P-0101EW
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
16	Carry out engine test run and check engine for leaktightness while it is running
